Whats up guys, I just pickd up a '12 ML350 for my wife. We have been avid BMW owners for the past few years, going through a few 335i's, a E60 M5 and still currently have a '08 135i. My wife had her heart set on a X5 but I got her to test drive the new ML350 and she decided she wanted to cross over to the dark side . Plus I'm a USAA member and got the car for $2500 under invoice without any negotiation which blew the bimmers out of the water. So far we are very pleased with our purchase. I plan on getting some sort of light upgrade since the car didnt come standard with xenons which surprised me and Ill probably buy a new set of AMG style rims for it soon. I'll be sure to keep you guys updated with pics as the modding progresses.
Cheers,
-Curt

Your wife is cute and happy. Good things to maintain! Mine is on order for my wife's DD, as well, and while I've owned M3s for quite a few years, I like the ML over the X5 for now. Too bad they don't have BMW's 4 years free maintenance, but it's okay. This is a good forum for information.

Yeah we bought the prepaid maintenance plan, brings the cost of ownership down a few K for minimal investment.

Neither does the BMW X5 xDrive35i Premium at $55k base nor the Lexus GX460 at $53k. Pretty common for manufacturers to make these optional to keep the base price down.
