On my way to be a Dad!
My fiance and I expecting and this is my first child. She is is 4 months and so far everything is going well.
I thought I would have the ML paid off before we had a baby however it looks like that is not going to happen, its fine. The further we are along we realize you can never REALLY be prepared for a child. Never the less we know everything will work itself out in Gods hands.
The ML350 is the safest SUV on the road so this is one thing we don't have to worry about!

Congrats! For me there's nothing better than being a dad and it's a primary reason that I drive the ML. I know my family is safer than almost any other vehicle on the road.

I have an 8 month right now and the only reason why I switched on over to Benz (Comfort and safety).
This is my advice to you while your wife is pregnant. For every dumb things you say make sure you back that up with a million compliments. lol!

Congrats! You'll have a great time - enjoy it, because it flies by! Coincidentally, the acquisition of our first ML (W163) coincided - intentionally - with our first child. The feeling of security while traveling with your family in an M-B is worth every penny.

congrats! The ML is also a baby car for us. Son 2.5yrs, Daughter 1yrs.
Ours come with the child seat recognition system so airbags don't go off near the baby seats.

It is a sensor. My sales said it recognises that a child seat is in place and deactivates the airbag. Not sure if this is applicable to the rear seats as well.
This is a feature included in the edition one package so I'm like yeah, just give it to me.

Thanks everyone, heard the heart beat again today. Easier to hear than last time. Sometimes, when driving the ML I look back and I can't wait to have the car seat back there, this is what we bought the ML for.
My fiance has a BMW 135i, I have been thinking about getting something with 4-doors and a hatchback.
Is it worth getting something different or the car will be fine? I was thinking about the new A-class?
My fiance will not be working after we have the baby, think I should get something cheaper? What did everyone else do?

sounds sweet at first, but when the kid is screaming, your wife is emotionally unstable and yelling in the car trying to smooth the baby...... everything changes...

Congrats, Man. That's great news.
We got married in August, so no kids as yet - but plan to in the near future. Hence, our choice of the ML now. Hopefully we grow into it and then, 'move up' to the GL
