Brake bias

Is the new ML350 use more rear brake than the front ? Because every time I wash mine I saw more brake dust in the rear than the front wheels. Or the brake pad materials are different front and rear ? On my old ML320 the front usually more dirty than the rear. Just curious

do you have active lane assist?

if so it uses SOLELY the rear brakes.

also, this is nice because at-least for once there is equal pad wear.

No I don't have active lane assist only passive one. But from the brake dust I got from the back seem way more than the front almost twice as much and I don't think the ML equip some sort brake duct in the front to cool off and blow off the dust.

The active lane keeping assist uses one of the rear brakes to steer the vehicle, but only when necessary. The braking system and brake force distribution remains unchanged.
