Tire info?

Anyone have quick access to their truck and can provide me with the tire details? Apparently Mercedes uses 4 different tires/brands and I'm not near my truck since it is near my bus stop. I believe the brand I am on is Continental.

I took to my daughter to the opening of the Avengers movie and came out to a tack plunged into the sidewall of my tire. I plugged it for now but it has a slow leak. Thankfully I purchased the wheel/tire package!

Thanks. I had my wife go and give me the info over the phone. Turns out I don't have Continental but have Dunlup Grand Trek/Touring. For anyone needing sizing in the future: 255/50R19 107H M+S.

Interesting that MB uses all these brands. Good for us I guess.

Kind of depends on what you bought for options. Airmatic is one. Gas Diesel. Some days on of 2 with the same spec. One of the tires wears fast. Rated 260 I believe from manufacturer

Typically, manufacturers have at least two spec tires for each model so they aren't tied to one supply line, and to spread the business around.

For Euro-spec vehicles, the importer can specify the brand of tire, and even the type (ie: you can take delivery of your new Benz with winter tires if you choose). For North America, it's luck of the draw and always all-season or performance tires (depending on size/model).

Are there any other tire sizes that can fit on the 19"? I am looking for something with a slightly larger sidewall for ride quality. In TX we do 98% highway and I want a smooth touring tire. (no snow)

I've had good luck in the past with Michelin AT2's don't see that available for this rim.

300DTurbo...the performance tires currently on your car are pretty good for what you need. However for us in the northeast as well as the folks in Canada the tires are not very good. A lot of slick. Makes me want another set of wheels for Winter driving.

Brought the tire to the dealer. Ended having to pay a $50 deductible for a new tire by using my wheel/tire package. Invoice says Tire and labor is $357.

Too me the Wheel/Tire package is well worth the money.
