Well, I've had my 2012 BT FOR 9 weeks now...

I had planned on keeping the truck for 3-4 years but in light of all the traveling we do, I wanted the car set up,just right. So I figured I would put together an order for EXACTLY what I want...

So I ordered my 2013 in Tenorite Grey Bluetec with:
-Light package
-Sport package
-Passive driver assist package
-Leather package with ventilated seats
-NO RUNNING BOARDS
-Trailer hitch
-115v outlet
-premium package w/pano
-Anthracite wood
-Light grey headliner

Basically the identical car to what I have now just no running boards but with leather, vent seats and lighting...

Im told that at the time of order the leather is on restriction and the sport wheels are too.

Delivery is end Sept 2012. Hopefully it's all built by then.

If anyone is interested in mine let me know. It has just over 5k now. Should have another 6k on it by then.

Headliner is always black with leather in Canada.

I hate the running boards too. That 2013 order is what I would have liked as well.

In Canada, the AMG styling kit with the twist rocker panels is standard. Looks great especially with the Sport package IMO.

I'd say that half of the ML owners have hated the running boards (those who have them) since the w163's SE's back in '04 and I can't understand MB's reasoning of shoving them down our throats.

Fact is that all the US 2013 ML550's have the running boards, non-deletable

 

Well, got a call from my SA a few weeks ago telling me that my wheels, and leather were on hold. I spoke to him last week and the update was that all is good, and it is scheduled for build in November with a December delivery. What the hell is up there? By ordering early May I was hoping to have the thing by end of Sept. oh well.

 

Mine is on indefinite hold for leather too.

 

Did you get the "special order" leather seats?

 

I ordered the upgraded premium leather that is required when you want ventilated seats. I originally had an early Oct build date, which was delayed for 20" wheels and MBTex covered dash. Now an indefinite delay for the leather seats, so I had my deposit refunded. Hanging in limbo deciding whether to wait or build an X5 instead.

 

That sucks, I guess my sales agent is not doing his job since he can't give me a build date yet, as I put down a deposit over a month ago. I got the brown/black leather seats, mbtex dash also. Thanks for the update, too bad my dealership can not do the same!

 

Simply too early for a build date can likely do approx. Remember we supply the world not USA/Can
There has never been a delay for leather. Is it Brown color? Multi Contour? Or leather with P95 sport seats?

 

Yes it's the brown leather seats with black headliner. No multi-Contour and no leather with p95 sport seats. It is the first that I heard there has been a delay for leather seats.

First time as u say hard to believe eh. Still worth the wait is all I hear.

 

I had ordered the multicontour seats, which I could live without, in black leather with active ventilation. It is my understanding that it was just the leather that was the holdup.

 

If Multi Contour is still on ur order that's ur delay. Not likely any 350 will get this year

 

When I picked up my car this week, my SA did mention that there were now delays due to leather shortages.

 

The COWS figured it out and are all hiding LOL
