21 inch alloy and ride quality
Hi all.. I am looking to order a ML350 Bluetec Sport in the UK. I was wondering what people's view is on specing it with 21" alloys (which requires the Airmatic to be included as well). What is the ride quality like with this or will I be better off with the 20" alloys? I will still put the Airmatic regardless. Knowing the road quality in the UK is not that great, am I going to regret the 21" wheels??
Looking to go with the Diamond white metallic and black/almond beige leather with Anthracite poplar wood trim... any views on this?
Thx.

I did not find there to be an appreciable difference in ride quality in 20" with AIRMATIC on the BlueTEC vs 21" with AIRMATIC on the ML 550 here in Canada. The only downside (depending on your point of view) is that the 21s are summer tires whereas the 20s are all-season.

With a low late evening sun on your left side, the Anthracite will glare in your eyes. (Read that as the right side in NA & EU)
Colour is always a personal choice so I do not intend to advise you, but I selected the satin finish Ash to avoid the glare.

2013 ML550: Paladium Silver, Brown Satin Ash
I've looked at them all in person and the Brown Satin Ash seems to be the best wood trim, primarily, I think, because it's not so super-shinny with that think clear-coat like the other trims that border on looking cheap. But it needs the organic feel of the wrapped dash to go with it.
