Drove 1400km round trip on the weekend, and got 8.8L/100km, which is below the advertised highway fuel economy of 8.9L/100km!
Most impressive part was that I was not consciously trying to conserve fuel, and just driving "normally". That included long stretches of doing 130-140km/hour on the highways, and some spirited passing maneuvers. Had 4 passengers with the cargo area full of overnight bags too.
It's based on about 85% highway, 10% rural road, 5% city driving.
As far as the driving experience goes, fantastic! Quiet and comfortable, and even through one section where we had sheets of rain coming down hard, very very stable. Love the HK soundsystem, and all the electronics which really shines on long trips.

Actually, the fuel economy I got on the trip was worse than advertised. Ug. The 8.9L/100km figure was for the gasser.
Heavy throttle foot I guess

It's not a Pirus! :-) But the diesel on a long trip is a pleasure.
