McGard Wheel Locks

I called McGard wheel lock company's toll free # (800-444-5847) for the correct fitment & part # for my 2012 ML350, they don't have it & told me it's part #28023 for 2011 model, thought it might be the same for 2012.

Just brought my ML350 into dealer the free tire rotation (just past 5000 miles), & asked them to install the McGard wheel locks also. They told me that it's the wrong part & won't fit.

I called back McGard & they again don't know.

Does anyone here knows the correct McGard part #?
or the correct dimensions of the bolts?

Thanks,

I'm sorry but I don't know the answer to your question. My wheel locks were made by an Italian company for M-B and came with the ML350. I tried to find the dimensions on the bolt box but they was not listed. There may be a cross reference from the original part that you can give McGard. The box has a hundred numbers on it but I believe the model is BS6470156. If not, maybe it is G28149792. Those are the two most predominant numbers shown. If you give McGard these numbers they may be able to cross reference them to their stock.

You also mentioned the free tire rotation at 5,000 miles. I posted on this a while back but can not find for the life of me where I read that M-B will give you a free tire rotation before or right at the 5,000 mile mark. I know the book recommends tire rotation at 5,000 mile intervals but the first one, which as you indicate is suppose to be free, is mentioned somewhere but I don't know where. I need to find it in case the dealer squawks about the free rotation. Can you please direct me to it?

Go to the MB Owners' site:
http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/servic...ts/maintenance

3rd paragraph from the bottom:
"The first rotation inspection occurring at an authorized Mercedes-Benz Dealership at any time up to 5,000 miles is provided at no charge.*"

Ok, then does anyone on here uses any kind of wheel locks (MB, etc...) at all, or wheel theft is not a concern?

I am using MB Wheel Locks on all my cars since 15 years. I always ask the dealer to install them when preparing my car for delivery.
