I can't believe I am unable to locate the dust filter housing in order to replace the cabin dust filter for my 2012 ML 350. Any suggestions other than going back too the dealer?
Our W166 has a lil more to it than that video shows. There's another wiring harness connected to the glovebox's dampner, there's the vent tube for the glovebox cooling, and also an additional T30 Torx screw underneath. I changed my oil & filter, both engine air filters, dust filter, & the 2 combination filters. All parts & oil from the dealer ran about $342.
Easiest way is from firewall side..one outer filter and two inner filters...lift off hood seal rubber strip..remove vent top and intake box (clips) and voila..remove outer filter then you must crush the 2 inner filters slightly to get out/in but no detrimental effect..

here you see inner filters
2012 is exactly the same. No need to remove glovebox. Go thru the engine bay on the passenger side as suggested here.
