Rear view camera works 50% of time
Ever since I had the software reflash for my puddle lights(side mirror LEDs) to work, my rear view camera works intermittently, apx. half the time when I put it in reverse. One of two things would occur when shifted into reverse: the LCD screen would turn black or the LCD screen would not respond at all; as if I had the function turned off under the settings menu.
I brought my gas W166 to Penske MB in S. California and they told me that the OBC didn't throw any error codes. So the lead tech reset all the codes and updated it to the most recent ones. However, the problem still exists as if I never brought the vehicle in. THe dealer told me to bring it in again so they can look for error codes again and they will contact MB headquarters again.
Anyone else experience this?

Read in one of these forums posted by a tech that the re flash for the puddle lights must be done correctly, or strange things will happen. It is a major re flash or something like that. Search the section on puddle lights. That may give some clues.

Not saying this is your problem but it's easy to overlook --> but the rear backup camera does not come on if the radio's turned off via the black on/off button in the middle of the large round volume-control knob on the dash...
