Brown Satin Ash Trim - question
Does it require any additional care than other avail trims? I ask because it is commonly referred to as "open pore".

From what I was told, it is still a sealed wood, i.e. protected, just that it has a satin instead of glossy finish. Open pore refers to the type of wood and the way it is cut to produce the open pore look.

I've had my ML now for a month, with Satin Ash. No special care required - in fact, its appearance doesn't require as frequent cleaning as the gloss wood does. Seems that finger prints aren't visible - or as visible as they are on gloss. And yes, the Satin finish is still sealed, so it can be wiped clean.
Hope this helps.
