Engine air filter location & location

Has anyone replaced the engine air filter on their 2012 ML350 yet?

Just bought a K & N air filter, part # 33-2985 , & looking to replace it.

Do you know where is the location of the air filter & the procedure to replace it?

Is this something I can do myself, or need a mechanic to do it?

Thanks,

I do not know if the newer models are set up this way but if they are, it looks easy. See here:

Yes, saw this video on YouTube already.
But it pertains to 2007 model from 5 yrs ago.

My 2012 has a different cover, with 4 screws on top.
Don't wanna screw with it, if locations or procedures has changed also...

Have a nice time letting more dirt into the engine! See here:

I can tell you that the video above is no where close to our vehicles. I have a BlueTec & did my air filters not too long ago. And yes, I'm telling you first hand that the W166 diesel engine does indeed have TWO air filters, contrary to some misleading information that was mentioned on the boards a while back. Good news is that I took pictures as I changed the air filters and cabin filters. Bad news is that the removable memory card in my phone somehow got corrupted and I can't open them right now. If the weather isn't too bad in the morning, I'll try to take some more pictures.

I'm also looking for a DIY on how to change the air filters on a 2012 ML350 BlueTec.

That would be very helpful! I've searched on MBWorld and BenzWorld, and there's nothing about changing the air filters except for the part number.
