ML550 Rear view mirror loose?

ML550 Rear view mirror loose?
My rear view mirror has always been loose, where every time I open or close the garage door with the mirror mounted buttons I have to readjust the mirror. Now it is so loose that hitting a bump sometimes makes it drop. Is there a schematic somewhere that shows how to tighten it? Hate to make a trip to the dealer for something so trivial.

Back in 2007, on the day I bought my brand new 2007 R-Class, R320, while the dealer was going through the "delivery" routine and showing me the interior features and all of that, I noticed that the rear view mirror was loose and pointed it out to him. It was usable but rattled around a little. It turned out to be a BIG problem. According to the dealer's service guys, it could NOT be fixed. They had to replace the entire windshield with a new one. All-in-all in took three days or so. No cost to me, and no subsequent problems, but a bit of an inconvenience. I appreciated that they did fix it properly and replaced the windshield, rather than some sort of crude approach involving little shims and glue, or the like.
I hope that your ML doesn't have the same problem. I traded the R320 for a new 2012 ML350BTC last month. My ML mirror works fine.

Gulp... Thanks, and I hope that is not the solution... :-( Unfortunately I am out of warranty, so this thing may just stay loose.... I have a service coming up, will see what they say.
