2012 vs 2013 Options on the ML350BT

Anything different the 2013s have over the 2012s?

How did the power get bumped to 258hp from 240hp?
What is difference between the 7G-TRONIC and 7G-TRONIC PLUS?

What other differences are there? Going to annoy me now should have waited...

ML 350 Bluetech 2013 Loving it!
Dougiebear in his last thread suggested ........
"Seem about what the power chip guys are talking about in that thread for increases.
My 2013 BT is held for engine certification and modification so would seem about right.
The old 2011 MLs were beating the hyway rating of 35 mpg Can and 2012 was rated or 39 hyway Can.
They also spec on the website 7 Gtronic Plus where last year didnt say Plus but was supposed to be."

If I have not got it wrong he also suggested previously that the 2012 production ends in Mid July and 2013 production starts Mid july.
I ordered a Desiel 350 Blutec end of May and am told that it has a chassis number now and production was expected 1st week of August and delivery to UK was 2nd October ...but I hope and pray I get it sooner for my birthday on 21st September !

I am also very interested to hear if ther are any changes .

From another source: "Daimler finalized the advanced development of the sixth generation of its seven-speed automatic transmission for more comfort, less fuel consumption and more driving pleasure. The 7G-Tronic Plus has a new fuel efficient torque converter with centrifugal pendulum damper and regulated zero slip at the torque converter lock-up clutch, as well as a new automatic transmission lubricant (FE-ATF)."

2012s had the same tranny. "...the new seven-speed 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission with a new fuel-economy converter, friction-optimized bearings and a transmission oil thermal management system."

2013s get color MDF in the cluster, mbrace2, optional ON&OFF ROAD package (may not be available on diesel yet).
