I told him that if any option would cause a delay to notify me. But he said that everything is OK.
Well the truth will be apparent in 5 - 6 weeks.
The next day my Sales agent emailed " ....the order has been taken by Mercedes and the vehicle has a build date of first week in December. We found a vehicle a week sooner. I can't say if it will make it in December but it has a chance. Production is only a day or two, but then it sits on the lot and when they have enough gets loaded onto the train. Then shipped to the Port in Baltimore where they get prepped, and sit again. Once released to the drivers we get the vehicle. You could see it for X-mas, too early to tell but by early December we should get better idea on that."
As much as I love my Macadamia Cayenne and it's a thrill to drive we simply need a larger vehicle with room for a dog and a couple suitcases. I thought I was done with the big trucks, they were handy when we delivered kids to college and helped them move into various apartments but now that I've downsized I'm content with a SUV that fits into parking garages and smaller city parking spots. I've had a 95 Suburban, then a few Tahoes, a 01 Sequoia, 04 Lexus LX 470, 07 GX 470 and my 10 Cayenne.
The Ml looks like the right car for us at the right time.
Thanks again, Finn
