My wife was not sure what she really wanted but when she saw the ML she said it was made for her lol.
This is my second Benz but my wife's first so enjoy the pic... It won't stay stock for long!

We didn't order it so we took it the way it was. Besides I figure I can spend $6g's aftermarket and get a a lot more power than the factory upgrade.
Couldn't find another white/white anywhere in my state and that's what my wife wanted.

Interesting..what size tire do they put on the 20s...still the 295 ? And you're correct on the power upgrade..the Renntech tune will bring you well above the P30 level for about $3500

The Renntech tune is a fine example of diminishing return (for me at least with the P30 option) but you pay for the name and r&d.
The Alpha airbox is a costly cosmetic upgrade imo. I cannot comment on their tune..your best bet is if you can get on a dyno but around here that's not an option so I opted for a reliable canned tune
And that would have been a steal to upgrade to 21" AMG wheel package if it included the stock 295 tires which come with it...

Im thinking Renntech might be the better option since I'm in Florida and could maybe get Dyno time with them as well.
Did you happen to weigh the 20's before you mounted winter tires on them? When we do decide on some new wheels knowing if I can remove some unsprung weight it would definitely lean me towards one wheel over another.

No I didn't weigh..dealer just installed them but I'd bet they are not the lightest..if you want light there are much better aftermarket options out there..HRE for one

2014 Mercedes ml350 bluetec
Illuminated star with Distronic
I have a 2014 ML350 Bluetec on order. I had choosen both option in my order.
(The Distronic pkg and the illuminated star.
I read in one of the forums that you can't have both Distronic and the illuminating star. My sales rep said nothing to me about this and my ML should be inn next week.
Does anyone know anything about this?

In the conversations I had with the sales department this past week were that the Distronic has a covered star and does not illuminate and it cant be ordered that way. I'm not stating fact I'm only relaying what my salesman had discussed with me because we discussed ordering our ML63 but chose one they had instead.

If you go with HRE you will really like it, the quality is sick and weight saving stunning, love the way my ml63 handles now

Thank you! I've had a lot of fast vehicles in the past but none have had the WOW factor from the first pedal plant like this one. Having turbo'ed an LS1 Camaro, a heavily modified and tuned GMC Typhoon, tons of Mustangs and an turbocharged Escalade nothing has had the same effect on me as this bad boy!

2014 ML350
Hi! I'm new to posting but have spent some time on the Forums researching and learning, so thanks to everyone for the excellent and continuing education!
I bought my first Mercedes a few weeks ago, a 2014 Steel Grey Metallic ML350. I'm downsizing from driving a Tahoe for many years and was worried I'd regret the change, but I have to admit I'm totally enamored with this SUV. It feels like I've finally found a vehicle that is tailored to the driver's comfort and safety, and I'm not just "along for the ride."
I took the advice of those who suggested having a professional detail to protect the finish as we approach the winter weather. So, I took the opportunity for a photo shoot after it was beautified.
I look forward to learning more about the different ways you all customize your vehicles. So many on the Forums have so much knowledge and beautiful vehicles. Thanks again for the inspiration!
