My dealer said that they "may need to trim the mat to make it fit." However, I hate our all weather mats and would much prefer a refund. Either way, we are going to be ordering the WeatherTech digital fit floor covers.

Interesting, nowhere in the Recall Bulletin does it recommend or suggest trimming mats.

For what it's worth, I managed to get these mats from one local dealer. The other local dealer who initially told me "sorry-can't-help" was shocked to see that I got them, and says that they're actually the ones on the recall list. Apparently they have over 100 people on a waiting list for them.

Oh well - I plan on using them for now until a replacement set is available, they're still better than the loose generic mats I got at Costco.

Interesting. I didn't know that WeatherTech was also making the all season mats. I just received my floor liners direct from WT and am very pleased with the fit. I have a set of these in my wife's Lexus as well as the cargo mat. I picked up the MB cargo mat today as I think it's a better product for the back.

The dealer said there was no ETA on the all season mats but to check back in a few weeks, which is what made me get the liners.

Looking good in the car, I'll have to report back on how well they actually work next time I go skiing - when it finally decides to snow again in Colorado:

For those who have the new Weathertech mats, are they better than the ones being recalled? Mine are the originals and I have no problem at all with them. Are the new ones as easy to clean, as protective, as well fitted, etc.? Are they available in different colors?

I ordered from the same link as well, but mocha brown ones. It turned out that MB has two colors of these mats - black and mocha brown. My interior is almond so I figured the browns ones would look better. I should have them on Thursday.

Please post a picture (in your car) once you have them. I have the same combination and would love to see how mocha brown fits with the almond beige interior.

Thanks!

If Mercedes is offering these mats in Mocha Brown they must have been special ordered and available only to Mercedes. I went to the Weathertech website and they have only grey, black and tan. Another thing is that there is a floor liner set (3 piece) and a floor mat set (4 piece) - they are not the same thing. For example, the floor liner in the rear is one piece that stretches the entire length of the floor, including the hump, whereas the floor mats are simply pads for each passenger's foot area with the hump not covered. The example given by "WallyAMG", with the ebay link is not the mat set, it is the liner set. I don't believe the liners are the ones they are using for replacements because they are much more expensive than the regular floor mats. Does anyone know for sure if they are using the liners or the mats as replacements?

I went to the parts department of the local dealer and asked to see the mats being used for replacement. They are the ones shown on the ebay link previously mentioned above and are floor liners, not rubber mats. They felt cheap and unsubstantial - I did not like them. The rear piece covers and protects the center "hump" but it simply does not look classy. Of course, no weather mat looks classy (only carpets do) but the originals looked better to me and are heavier.

Because the new ones are liners rather than mats they probably cover and protect from water better because of the side lips. If I lived somewhere other than Texas where I would encounter snow and slush, these liners might be better than the rubber mats. As it is, I have no intention of turning my old ones in.

Petermk, I like it, I have a black liner with almond interior (weather tech)... looks good to me, anyway my trunk liner is black. the reason I didn't get beige color is because with time the liner turn all dirty, you need to wash the liners almost every time you wash your car, with the black one no problem at all... I learn this with a light grey color all weather mat...I hated !
I may order a black genuine MB set, I like the Mercedes Benz logo, just to keep it genuine...

from pdf:

Note:

Customers must be informed that there should not be more than one floor mat installed in the footwell area and the floor mat must be installed using the provided attachment points. Ensure that the floor mat does not interfere with the accelerator pedal’s radius of movement.

Happy Chinese New Year!

I just picked up my floor liners for the front, middle and cargo area yesterday. I think they look great because my interior is black so they match up well. Plus, it was raining yesterday and I didn't mind taking passengers in the back because the liner protects the middle hump. I love the cargo liner the best because it has the Mercedes emblem on it. I will post pictures if anyone wants to see.

Hmmm... these are showing up around the country but my dealer says still unavailable. Think I need to give the GM a call on Monday. Anyone else in California gotten theirs? (Specifically SoCal)

Can someone with the Mercedes-branded liners check something? I have a set directly from WT, and on the bottom of the label area is a cast-in MB star. I know these are manufactured by WT, and the only difference is the stick-on label applied. I just find it curious to see the logo made into the liner. I checked my Lexus liners (also purchased directly from WT) and see no similar logo cast in to those.

Are you sure they aren't black ? The link I saw (ebay) only referenced black liners.
