Spooks in my garage again!
Has anyone had their rear tailgate door open on its own? I just had it happen in the garage for the second time on my 2012 ML350. It's concerning to me because I had the trunk on my 2010 E-350 open on its own about once a month for the first year and now it's down to about once every 6 months. Most of the time it was in the garage but it happened in a parking lot several times too. Of course nobody in the service dept could duplicate it. I hope I'm not going through the same thing with the ML!

Could you be inadvertantly rubbing the key fob in your pocket?
You do have to press the button for two seconds for it to open, and that could happen if you were say leaning against the kitchen bench. But only you can decide if that could have happened.

No big antennas or ham operators that I know of. Doesn't even seem to be associated with the garage door opener either since it happens overnight when all the doors are closed.

This happened to me in Melbourne over Xmas, good job my friend saw it open as the car was full of travel gear.
I shall watch for it happening again.
