Doesn't it seem strange that the diesel, the most logical choice for off roading, can't have the off road package. What is the reason again? the bash plates don't fit or something?
I think MK commitment to that option is rather half-hearted.

We thought perhaps it was the added weight - and that it might lower the mileage - and since MB likes to tout the diesel's MPG and opted to leave it off.

But my sales agent didn't know either.

A gaggle of MB's
My understanding the AdBlue tank in the rear requires a 2nd/redesigned off-road system and that hasn't happened yet for North American market

2. Passenger side memory/ lumbar would add $365 to price plus $250 special order charge.

3. Can get Airmatic pkg as an option #489 for $1610 plus $250 special order charge. Cannot install later.

4.Cannot add prepaid maintenance later.

Guessing the $250 special order charge will only apply once.
Not sure what interior you're getting, but if you pay the $250 1-time SO charge for the passenger seat memory, consider getting other SO options like the Sport interior ($0) or MBTex dash ($300), and maybe even black headliner or rear seat pass-through.

The lack of On/Off Road pack on the ML350 diesel is purely MBUSA politics.

It is available elsewhere in the world and gladly on my diesel ML too.

My ML is now on order. The only compromise I had to make was with the MBTec wrapped dashboard, as that would have delayed the build until mid-May. Without it, the ML should be here early in April.

AVB Don't feel too bad about missing the MBTex dash, I couldn't get it on my build either, all the other options and packages I wanted, but no MBTex dash, but the rest of the truck is so fantastic that you won't miss it that much.
