Third row seats??

Hi,

First post here.
When 3rd gen debuted at 2011, some said there will be a three row version.
However, the third row has not been mentioned since then. Not even after MB removed the R from their line up.
Does anyone know if a third row version is on the way?

Thanks.

3rd row seats will not be available for MY14.

A gaggle of MB's
I have not seen any formative info as of now on any plans for "muchkin" 3rd row seats - ie like Honda Pilot or MDX.. what I have been told since early 2000's Mercedes has had a internal safety beef with munchkin seats

I believe MB thinks that would siphon off GL purchases, so, IMO, you will not see that happen.

So far mercedes has been committed to "full size 3rd row seats" and "full 3rd row safety" - they would need to choose a new direction.

E-Wagon has the third row, and it's far from "full"

^^ I agree, I think MB feels that it may cannibalize some of the GL sales.
