I know I saw that but the tex alcantara option is a cost option like the leather. The sport interior requires 601 or 801 so there's the extra cost but I hope that's it. I had to cancel the 401 vented seats option too as a result. I hope the sport interior is worth it.

Search online shows 2 threads on here that show mbtex sports interior with aluminum and leather with poplar wood. I really want the black wood! So looks like my leather choice will come with it!

I choose to order the 729 Anthracite Poplar Wood Trim (SPC) No charge except the one time $250 Special Order charge and I already had several SPC items ordered. I thought it was a great choice to match the black Sport interior. The heated seats are already standard on the ML.

Just went to the dealer today and saw a "14 with the sport package plus one. It looks pretty nice but not sure it is worth the money if the car is black. I compare to a "13 without the sport package and it doesn't look significant different enough. For some reason, I think it is the style but the 20" wheel looks a bit smaller than I thought.

My ML 350 Sport Package + 1 - Serendipity!!!
So I have my local MB dealer service advisor check out my Iridium Silver ML 350 '08 since its at 73K out of a 75K warranty. I ask him to give my car a full once-over and to also check out extended warranty options for my ML.
Off I go to work on a steel gray E350 rental. Not loving the dark color (I'm a girl, remember? - and I like 'em light and shiny!)
Kimo calls me up the next morning and says good thing I brought it in, since it has a misfiring piston and some tranny leak and could I come in later that day so we can chat about our options. I say "sure".
Kimo says, he cant get me factory warranty - and a 3rd party polic woudl cost me around $6k.
He also says the repairs will cost around $6k.
I say, oh heck no. Looks like a new lease is due, darn.
By chance, there's this car that just came in on the lot the day before and its a 2014 ML 350 Sport Package + 1 with a lot more options than I really want, and its Steel Gray. Yuk. So I say, nope, I dont like the color.
But they give me a great deal on my car, and a lot of freebies so that night I go home with a brand new decked out ML. Signed the docs sight unseen, didnt even drive it or get into the driver seat to check it out. Didnt even read the Mulroney.
That was last night.
Today is the first day (and its just lunchtime) that I have my new car, and Im blown away with the look, its feel and all its other options. Alcantara's, Anthracite Poplar, park, brakes and lane assist, alum here, chrome there, what-do-I-need-a-pano roof-or-hitch-for, dual xenon lights that wink at night. etc. and even running board disco lights (yay!).
This baby is sweeeet. Soft, tender, strong and yet, feather light to handle. Plus I love them leather-smelly round arms coming out to greet me when I'm near.
The only downside so far I've noticed is that the running boards are not as wide as my '08's so I have to be careful how I put my little feet in heels on them as I get off/disembark/de-light? from my vehicle. Plus the car's a bit wider and higher than my ML 350 '08.
So I'm luvin tall, dark and handsome now, and all bling - hooray!!! )
