Ayyone know how to remove overhead console
I'd like to get power for my Escort but not sure how to remove overhead console..
It's fairly easy to get mirror base cover off but no evident power source there.

Okay I reverted to www.justanswer.com to ask an expert..got Mike a Mercedes mechanic who sent me a schematic and gave me the procedure..
- insert a flat tool..even a credit card at the rear center of panel..and push in (NO NOT PRY) towards roof at 45 degree angle...this will release the panel from 2 clips about 2 inches on each side of the point you're at..voila..panel releases and drops down at back pivoting from two points at the front of the panel...then after releasing wire plugs panel could be removed
Detector wiring and pics to follow
