Sound system problem
hello ,
I have an ml250 which is about 2 months old, I had the Harmon karmon stereo upgrade which to be honest isn't fantastic when it's working properly,
The left hand front door vibrates making it sound like a blown speaker, it's been in once for a new speaker and then back twice because it continues to happen, the guy at Mercedes actually told my wife to turn the base down ! On an upgraded system!
Is thereba number in the uk I can make a complaint to as I need to take this further I feel to getbthis resolved?

All Mercedes HK systems rattle at medium-high volume for certain types of music (such as electronic/dance) .
I thought my S-Class was particularly bad, until I removed the speaker and watched it in action - the amount of movement I was seeing was phenomenal. The rattling in this case was caused by the speaker wire loom, wrapping it in an extra layer of foam cured my problem.
My new ML rattles as well, your dealer has a point about turning the bass down 1-2 steps, or by disabling Logic 7. I suspect that the default (0 level) bass setting is actually boosted in some way on the HK systems when Logic 7 is enabled.

Ok thanks, for that, to be honest I'm going to sell the merc as it's no where on the level of refinement I was looking for, I'm going back to range rover so if anybody wants a 2 month old bargain with a couple of nice upgrades let me no!
