ELW and Prepaid Mainteance Question
My dealer called me today that my new ML350 4matic has arrived and I'm excited to pick it up in Thursday!
It actually arrived 3 weeks early. I have been putting out feelers to other dealers to get an idea of what the prepaid maintenance and ELW would cost.
The quote I received for 7/100K ELW was for $4,389 plus tax which seems pretty steep. I believe this is the list price since I received the same quote from a another dealer. I wanted to find out from your experiences if this is negotiable and how much is reasonable. I may actually go for a 7/75K term instead as I don't normally drive 12K miles a year.
I also received quotes for prepaid maintenance for 4 and 5 years. The 4 year I was given a price of $1669 and for 5 years $1999. I've never prepaid maintenance on a car before and this is actually my first Mercedes so not too sure how much maintenance with the usual pay as you go service is. Do these prices seems reasonable or is this even worth it?
By the way I'm in New York which probably does make a difference since this market is more expensive.
Thank you for your opinions!
With that all said I know some one who got a refund on their warranty from inability to use it after a wreck. Right now I am trying to recall the make vehicle it was but can't remember. Pretty certain that refund came from the company and not his insurance though. Definitely something worth looking into if seriously considering a warranty extension or pre-paid maintenance.
If I were to change my mind and buy one then I'd contact Mark Eggleston since he offered the best pricing and all times in the past when I talked to him he always had the best pricing.
