Service B Costs in Canada Wow!
Hey guys, I haven't posted in a while but my 2012ML Bluetec has it's first service B coming up . I was quoted over the phone a price of $860 which was mind boggling by my local MB dealership. I don't know why in Canada we get charged so much? I'm thinking of driving down to Washington State (Seattle area) 2.5 hour drive to get my truck serviced. I found that the prices are nearly cut in half $399 for Service B.

The simple answer is because we are willing to pay so much. It is the same story everywhere across Canada. We are such nice people that Amazon.ca charges us between 50% and 200% more than amazon.com for the same product. I resolved MB maintenance over charge issue by replacing the engine oil and filter every year at MB, and perform the regular scheduled service every two years. I do not really need MB to check my fluids levels and verify the lights. As for the tire pressure thing they do that when installing winter/4 seasons tires (summer tires for the ML-63) twice/year.

Thanks for the reply, I called a local shop in Vancouver that specializes in Mercedes Benz and BMW. I got a quote for $270.00 for the B service, which seems reasonable.
