ECO Stop/Go Blue Tec
On USA models, is the ECO Stop/Go a stock item on a 2014 Blue Tec?
If you have a Blue Tec with this ECO mode, what do you think about it?
I've a 2014 Blue Tec on order.

Purely a matter of opinion.
The ECO stop start is almost faultless. It does what it says - saves 10c of fuel a year, but reduces minimal noise to nothing. Restarting is always instantaneous
Very rarely, when I get into crawling traffic, I will press the Eco button as MLee does, but if I stop at those multiway traffic lights, I will turn it back on.

Don't know about MB auto start-stop but I spent the last year driving a number of diesels in Ireland with the feature and found them all to be virtually transparent in use. It got to be strange for the engine to stay running at a light when I came back to the states.

2014 Black ML350 4Matic
I drove a 2014 E350 loaner w/2500 miles for a week with ECO while my ML was at the dealer to have the noise at cold start up fixed which doesn't appear to have been but that's another story.
I really did not like the ECO function although I am glad it saves fuel. At every stop you could feel the engine stop and hear/feel it start back up. It wasn't transparent at all and not something I would have expected from a Mercedes vehicle. Maybe it was just this particular vehicle but I am happy we don't have ECO in the US on the MLs unless it was really transparent to the driver.
