Convenience Window Opening & Closing

The manual for my 2012 ML350 BT mentions the convenience opening and closing of the windows and sunroof with the Smartkey. Mine doesn't seem to do that. Is there an option package that includes this and not the basic ML350? Or is there a activation setting that I need to change? Neither of these situations are mentioned in the Manual so I'm at a bit of a loss right now.

IT works but with only precision. ;-)

The smart key has to be pointed at the drivers door handle .. press the lock button, then again and hold. Windows etc will begin to close or open if you use the unlock button and hold. But the distance from key to door has to be somewhat close

Right you are!
I just tried it from a maximum of around 8 feet away and it did open and close them. I initially tried it from about 12 feet and it didn't work. Might not have been pointing the smartkey directly at the door handle....

My BMW 335 coupe had this and I could start opening the windows from at least 20ft away so by the time I reached the car they were all the way down and the sunroof was open. Very nice in the summer time for a cool down here in Florida!
