Reverse Camera ... Annoying
Hi!
May be an grumpy old mam ...but what bugs me is that on wet days and every day is wet here! When the rain trickles down , when it is most needed there is a drop of water on the camera lens does not give me a clear view.
I have to get out and wipe it dry.
Any one else experience this irritation with me ?
Any ideas on how to manage it ?
I wish it had a jet spray as when you use your rear wiper sprayed on this at the same time ...
An idea for MB!

Fortunately it's the biggest annoyance on mine as well.
I believe they have corrected this by having the lens recess when not in use.
38K miles...time for a new one !

I'd check into replacing your current camera with a newer model. Could be pricy, but it just might work as described above. Otherwise I'd look to make an 'eyebrow' for it to see if you could keep water from landing on the camera.

It would also be nice to have a dedicated headlight washer switch rather than having to cycle the wipers "x" times to get the lights washed...when I want and not when I don't

Before I get in, I use my finger to wipe the lens clean as I walk by. I only use the camera to ensure there are no small kids, dogs and junk as I back out of the driveway, beyond those safety issues I never rely on the camera to back-up.

Boy, you got that right! I can put the ball right under the cup with ease.
As far as the camera lens getting water on it. I use my backup camera but still look. So times I can not see because of water does not bother me. Def not getting out of the car to wipe it off!
