2013 ML550 Renntech Tune feedback and ?'s

Ok, first and foremost love the ml550 4.6tt V8. It rocks! however getting tired of it or rather bored because its snowy so before I end up buying a sl63 or Gallardo, lets try making the grass greener here first! But seriously for 2500$ I get 510hp/585tq (100hp gain) on the intermediate tune and for 2800$ i get 530hp/606tq!!!! Your talking amg numbers for 1/10th the price. So I Have list of questions and concerns

1. Has anyone done it?
2. Feedback would be awesome?
3. This is my daily driver so leaning toward intermediate tune, experiences?
4. Just plug in and go, then pull out before heading to dealership?
5. No issues with computer tracking the data and voiding my warranty?
6. Anything in regards to load on tranny, I mean I do have 125k warranty but its renntech.
7. How badly does this affect gas mileage?

Thanks everyone!

Can't speak directly for the 550 but I say just do it..you won't be disappointed.. that is a given !
Tune it to Renntech recommendations...don't hold back..if you do you'll soon be back for more.
I think the 550 is a EMC flash and once it's in there's no taking it out on a whim..yes it can be tuned back to stock ...by the dealer or Renntech but it will ahve to go back to Renntech to put the tune back in..
Warranty is toast...no if's ands or buts..don't believe what anyone says..toast unless you have no incidents and put your stock tune back in..
Tranny will do fine...unless you're towing and/or abusing..
Fuel economy is as per your driving

Just do it...call George at Renntech and chat with him...good guy and he'll answer any questions you have..

My dealership said if the tune is done through the dealership, then its Mercedes Benz will honor the tune. My tech clearly said it does NOT void warranty...

BTW, Nanook thanks for the reply on my other post! Will be considering the tune this spring.

Yes some dealerships may honor the warranty..if they sell it to you and put it in but if you have a failure and take it to a different dealer you may likely have a scrap on your hands

Thanks Nanook, I spoke with George and he said that it will not void warranty and they cannot detect the tune! I know he's a salesmen so obviously he may be pushing the limits of truth vs fiction and can't blame him, all salesmen sell confidence but I didn't hear him say we'll fix it if mb won't.... ok, so my other concern is if MB dealership can check the history of the car and see if you tuned it and "catch you"......any experience on this? I'm not trying to have the whole audi situation on my hands especially on an 80k truck, but its to tempting not to have amg performance for 1/10th of the price.....I see you bumped yours up and can only imagine...I also used a super chips tuning pad one time on my trailblazer ss and blew tranny and motor and was on the hook so you can see my concerns.

I have no experience on incidents with dealer after a failure with a tune..I think it's safe to refer to the old adage..you play...you pay..that said I myself feel the vehicle has a fair built in safety factor and if one stays within that a failure is unlikely..step it up to the extremes and a breakdown is likely..
I also think it would be considered fraudulent to expect MB to pay for an issue directly related to the effect of a tune...therefore I intend on spilling the beans when mine goes in next week for it's A service. It's going to be somewhat inevitable when I tell them...don't flash the EMC..don't replace my $250 BMC filters and could you please install my Renntech supplied spark plugs
