Dimmer headlights?
I have a 2012 ML350 with 60k+ miles that I've driven since the Fall of 2011. Lately it seems that my headlights are not as bright when driving - although they seem to look ok when I go outside the car and look at them. I don't remember thinking there was a problem with the headlights when I first got the car, but either I'm getting older and my vision has changed or the halogen lights have slowly degraded over time. The dealer claims they don't degrade and he ensured the headlights were aligned at the proper factory height, but they still seem a bit dim.
I have read some reviews that mention the ML has somewhat dim headlights, but in my case it seems that it's worse now. It took me 2 yrs to really observe the the fog lights don't provide much light either. I'm going to go ahead and replace the headlights anyway and see if that helps, but I was wondering if anyone has noticed this as well.
Also, has anyone replaced their headlights with more powerful ones? At this point I cannot change them to the Xenon lights, and Mercedes doesn't off any other headlight. There are aftermarket places that advertise stronger lights and I'm also considering that.

Most people don't realize that headlights do dim over time and that thy should be changed every two years. Everyone just waits until they go out before replacing them. Bulbs are a maintenance item, change them every two years. Sylvania SilverStar Ultra are good. I heard they we coming out with a new LED version too called Zevo, haven't seen them or know too much about them.
Secondly, how are your headlight lenses holding up? Are they still clear or are they starting to cloud/yellow? That also can impact brightness. Keep them waxed.
