I don't worry so much about the lack of a spare, for me the issue is ride quality. Took the run flats off of another vehicle I own and replaced them with non run flat tires and the improvement in ride was unbelievable.

I could not be more happy with the ride and kinda like the idea that if I do have a flat, I can just keep going!

It's actually probably the other way around. If you want runflat tires you only get them with the B&O stereo. It's the only way to drown out the road noise they cause

Toyota has been selling RF equipped vehicles with no spare since at least '06. My mother's Sienna minivan's rear seat folded down into what would have been the spare tire well.

LOL! It sounds to me that my Run Flat tires bother "some" of you way more than me! LOL! I have not even had a flat tire in the last 7-8 years!

Are you sure this is not the iPhone forum. I would have expected more mature people here but no matter, you people can not rain on my parade

Enjoy your jeep

Run flats can only be driven flat for a relatively short distance before you have to replace them, and they can be difficult to find. Not the best choice for a long distance trip, especially one like we're planning to AK and back this summer with a camper trailer behind. That's why I purchased a 5th full sized wheel and tire to have as a spare out there in the wild.

Dutch, does the full size spare fit into the spare well? I hate undersized spares, but don't want the full size taking up my cargo space either.

I haven't tried, but I doubt it. My plan is a roof rack.

Please "understand" i have no problem with you having a spare.

The difference from one owner/vehicle to another is what makes the world interesting.

Enjoy.

I do not think either will fit inside the storage area under the floor due to the AdBlue tank.

The "donut" spare fits in there just fine. It even straddles over the Airmatic reservoir tank, located down there, very nicely.

WOW, I stand corrected.

So I could order this from the dealer and it would solve a possible problem.

Probably not if you have the B&O option.

I'm guessing you have a subwoofer or some other component of the audio system down there.

From what I read the amps for B&O are taking up the space that a donut usually would go into.

Yep, talked to the MB dealer and he confirmed it.

I have ordered two cans of "goo" and a 12 volt air compressor to fit under the rear floor. The dealer told me that they have seen the same tire with over 500 miles on it and it was still holding up. They keep one in stock and I am not planning on using it!

I am in love with the truck and the B&O radio!
