Just picked up an Ipod Nano 5th gen for my wife's 2012 ML350.

It connects OK and plays the music but I haven't figured out yet how to get it to display and play the Playlists...

As we educate ourselves on using the Ipod in her vehicle I'll do some more research on this but thought I'd throw the question out there since most likely others have already been down that road - and can provide the help...

While the iPod is playing, use the control knob on the center console to set focus on the main "what's playing" window. To do that, slide the knob down if focus is on the top menu bar; or push the knob up if it's on the bottom "details" bar.


Now push down on the knob and you will get a context menu that gives you several commands, including random play and select playlist.
