I'm sure he knows exactly to what I was referring.
1) I asked the dealer specifically why this pre-owned GLK was not CPO - and they said:
a) this is not CPO because the mileage is too low to qualify for CPO
b) they said if they could add Mercedes CPO for me but they would charge me $3500 more for the car - I thought paying Mercedes $3500 more was way too much
2) I then asked the dealer if this GLK ever had had any "accident damage" and the dealer said "there has never been any accident damage"
Stay to the script - it will be noted by MB in detail exactly the way you say it - and THAT will start Mercedes 2nd channel.
You want a effective strategy - and you need to be clear and tell MB what you really want from the dealer to resolve this issue - " this has been a horrible expereince with Mercedes - I want my money back" ---
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

Hopefully mercedes with step to the plate and at least offer a trade back for another mercedes/ML.
Please keep us posted.
We do not want to keep the car, in addition to everything it reeks like cigarette or cigar smoke inside.
This Saturday I took it to different Merecedes dealer for second opinion and sales person also said they would not sell a car like that to a customer, he said they will consider taking it as a trade and auction it off but prepare to take a big hit on the trade in.
I called MBUSA again today and they said the case rep will contact me back .......
Very frustrating, I bought this car as a surprise gift for my wife but it turned out to be a major headache.
I do have all the invoices and emails exchanged showing my complaint since I got the car and their responses. Everything is also documented by MB of Nortbrook IL who checked the car last weeks and said it they couldn't believe this car was sold by a Mercedes dealership and even more so with tires like that that could have exploded at any moment.

We don't even use tire patches at my work, too much of a liability. We have to replace the complete tire.

We didn't contact an attorney, we decided to keep the car and hope it will be ok as they kept assuring us whatever paint work is on the car is small touch up nothing more. Looks like we were very wrong.
Couple weeks ago we noticed a scratch/crack on the right door, first I though maybe we did something and decided to get an estimate to fix. It was a very cold day, then we watched it crack over the next few days everywhere, doors are bending and deforming on their own. Is it too late to hold these people responsible? I'll add some pictures the body shop send me today, the amount of bondo on the car is unreal.
Since so much time has past, there is no way they will compensate you in any way. I think your only chance was right after the initial purchase. They could now come back and say you have since damaged the car and fixed it poorly, and that is why it's cracking and peeling paint. It's a shame the dealer lied and treated you so unfairly.

Go to your local dealer and ask for a service history, that will tell you anything that dealer did to the vehicle.
