So on day one ... I paired my phone with my ML ... it was great. When I got a text message, it would read it; and then give me the opportunity to dictate a text message back. Super cool...


Now I've noticed that after it reads the text message, the only option I get is to "call back" ... I can't dictate a text response any more.


Anyone have any ideas on this?

Did you try pressing the voice control button on the steering wheel?

Yeah all that does is put the car in "active listening mode" to receive a command. The car is already in that state when a text message is being read ... it just won't accept "reply to text" as a command any more.

You likely have tried but have you deleted your phone from the system and start all over again. I had a Lexus that my iPhone all of a sudden stopped working and I deleted and re established a new connection and all was good till I sold the SUV.
