First time Benz Owner
Hello,
I am a first time Mercedes owner, recently purchasing a 2012 ML 350 in excellent condition with 80k miles. I knew the owner, all highway miles and he was a neat freak about the car, and the price was right. My question for people here is, I wouldn't mind some added assurance and was wondering if there is a highly recommended extended warranty that the dealerships might recommend (or you consumers) to protect me from high price fixes that might happen at 100K+ miles.... any suggestions would be great!

Cost of the extended warranties at 80K miles will be quite high. You will feel like you are paying for a major repair with the cost of such a warranty.
I would be tempted to make sure the MB is doing a good service and put the money you would spend on this warranty in the bank so it is there if you need it. There is a good chance you will come out way ahead.

^^ I agree, an extended warranty from MB at 80K miles is going to cost you $$$ especially if you get coverage to 125K miles..
Also, be aware of all of those "third party" warranty companies out there.. Yes, they may save you money compared to MB but I have heard of horror stories when people have filed claims for repair work..
I have never used one, and I'm sure there are probably a few good ones but just be careful..
