Great to see people actually using their SUVs. Where is that beach? It looks as though you're driving on concrete, the beaches by me on Long Island are all soft sand...

Moclips Beach in Washington State. I'm on the wet sand from the tide going out. A couple yards behind me it becomes dry soft sand.

I will say that in the dry sand, the ML feels a bit "twitchier" than our previous BMW X5 (also with sport package). The X5 felt way more planted in the sand and drove a lot more confidently.

Well - IMO, the X5 was a lot more fun for spirited driving. The whole SUV felt tighter - suspension, body, braking, etc. It was no "sports car" but it certainly had a more fun driving experience (if you like driving curvy, sporty roads).
