From Their Website:
"With DVDInMotion software you can restore the original state at any time, that way you don’t need to worry about the warranty of your car. And you can enable it again whenever you want, without any limitations on count or time.
The software works like a toggle switch, you can enable/disable video in motion anytime by simply running the installation procedure again."

Damn I just bought at full price the other day. Really easy to install.
Hooked up a fire stick to an hdmi converter and it's works well, other than randomly disconnecting from my iphones wifi. Note it's not for the front, I have rear entertainment screens. I just need to get something playing before we head out and troubleshoot.

It was on their site. It was $199 before.
Unfortunately it is not compatible with my car yet... so they issued a refund right away. Good service - too bad it doesn't work though. I will try the other option next.

I actually purchased one from www.bimmerguru.com. It works great, Video in motion, Navi address entry and Apps browsing while the car in motion all works. It took a total of 5 minutes to install after you have burned the installer on a DVD. The great part is you can install and re-install anytime so it does not void any warranty! Seamless solution compared to installing a donggle or something on the head unit! Plus, their support is awesome, email answered promptly..... i recommend this....
check it out!!!
check it out!!!
I paid $200 club price in Canada for a 2014 Navteq update for my 2011 E350. One of the largest road project in the lower mainland of BC which was started in 2008 and opened in December 2013 was not on the maps but on Google Maps and on the first update of 2014 on my Garmin 40LM. When asked Navteq stated bold face they were always 2-3 yr behind. Their excuse was they needed to write software and take the time to verify it usin independent testers.
So any new cars of that era including my 2013 C63 were delivered with maps that were stale dated by 2 yr.

DVD in motion is a horrible experience
Please save your money cause you definitely will waste time ! The technical support doesn't have a phone number and when they do respond at there leisure by email , it's rude bs about the user must have a low iq ! If had one enemy in the world I would send them this link !

'14 ML350. Car has a 360 view camera setup. Will this software allow access to the rear view camera at any speed so I can view the trailer I'm towing? Thanks.

I just tried the DVDInMotion, and after 30 seconds or so, the car says the disc is unreadable. Has anyone had this problem? I see the files on the disc, including the readme text, so I'm a loss....
I emailed them, and haven't heard back, yet (it's only been an hour).
How responsive are they with their emails?
Does the engine have to be running?.....because I tried this with the key in the ON position.
Thanks!

The default burning software on Windows isn't capable of burning ISO image files, you need to use an ISO burning software, www.freeisoburner.com - one thing to note, if you mess up on the installation don't attempt to install again before shutting the car down and locking the doors for at least 10 mins, otherwise you will corrupt your head unit

Ok, I did the free iso burner thing, and it worked. I got nervous for a second, because when I put the blank USB drive into the jack, it said the USB was unreadable....but 20 seconds later, the screen re-booted.
So, it's working.
Thanks!
So, it's working.
Thanks!

Do you guys uninstall this before you bring it in to a MB dealer for service? Do you think they check for this for some reason?...maybe to see if they can void your warranty, or something?
#44
No need to uninstall as it will not get detected in service - When the car is manufactured in Germany, these features are all enabled. They get disabled due to the market's demand that they are getting shipped to. This software will re-enabled those features. Everything remains OEM MB.... it's not a "3rd party" software that is being installed

Seems to me the post by someone who actually has done it and seems to know what they are talking about has just a tad more credibility.
As one who has had 12 of MB cars over the last 32 yr one thing I do know for a fact is MB has always customized their cars to the markets into which they are sold and with the progressive use of electronics this is easier than say 30 yr ago. Even when they build a car for a market they just turn the options on the customer has bought as an option in many cases. Even my Japan market R170 has the same bumper cover as every R170 built since side markers were required in some countries. It doesn't have side markers but the holes for them are there. The insert covers it and there is a stick on reflector on the fender.

Well, here's a genuine review...! I've had DVDinMotion since 2016. In fact I purchased 2, 1 for my ML350BT, and one for my son's C350. It has been rock solid! My "Nagagator"(Wife) was incensed when she couldn't program our Nav, except when stopped!!! DVDINMOTION fixed that complaint! To be honest, I can't stand the MB setup(mine is a 2015/Can). The engineers should have been sent to Antarctica to live out their days, maybe map the 'island', LOL! The whole MB information setup is from a 70's computer, not well designed, non intuitive! My son's car is now with a new owner, but was happy his Dad gifted him with it, Waze stepped it up, and he never went back. Tesla is now his life! I'm not sure another MB will be in the future for me, although this vehicle has pulled it's weight with very little expense. The BT pulls an Fcar/trailer to FL and back every year, never let me down! But... the 'infotainment center' is a disaster, years , maybe even a decade behind the Japanese!

When it comes to voice phone ops or NAV MB I felt was not so user friendly until I got a Nissan Rogue. The phone on that thing is an absolute piece of crap. There is nothing intuitive about it in a NA sense. Very well structure and well ordered if you were operating out of a procedural manual in Japan but as mobile service? Nah!
