Can anyone recommend good crossbars for a 2014 ML? best brand from experience of ownership strong bars with minimal wind noise etc.
Thank you.

I like the Thule AeroBlade Edge. I recently sold them to another member here, since I'm selling the car.

Here's a link to the ones I had. I liked them a lot.

There are a couple of photos of the bare crossbars in that post. Below is a shot with the Yakima Load Warrior Basket carrying my full sized spare on our trip to Alaska last summer.
With the bars spaced properly, you can lift the back edge of the front pano roof; but you cannot open it fully, since it slide back externally to the roof. With the basket mounted, the clamps prevent even tipping the back edge up.

I bought mine from Dutch and he is correct - they work wonderfully! I also like how they look - like it was a stock option from the factory - i.e. no big square bars protruding out the side. These look integrated not an afterthought in my opinion. I carry a THULE box on top of mine when we go skiing. I have just the regular sunroof and I can tilt/open it all the way.
