Does it sit on the floor of the console or on top instead of the rectangular one that came in the car?

On top huh? Interesting. Does it cover the entire top of the storage space? Easy to lift out? Looks nice but personally, I have my iPod in there along w/ a small bottle of hand sanitizer. The iPod I take out when switching cars so I'm in there quite often. The organizer looks good to keep my quarters (for parking meters, I now have them in the ash tray) and pens.

Corvettenorway: Thank you for posting this item. I got mine today. It took one month to arrive, but it is worth the wait. While it organizes the iPhone, pens, notes, change... there is still enough room underneath for winter gloves. The fit and finish are excellent.
