Raced her today at the Colorado PIT Rally
This is the 2nd year for the race. It's close to a 8 mile run. They let us go off in groups of 5 with a lead car. The lead car is a ZR1 or a Porsche 911 Turbo. The lead car is driven by a professional and he will keep the speed.
We had prelims on Friday and I brought my Honda S2000 but towards the end of I threw a rod. That's pricey...
So I decided to take the Benz. I bought new tires Friday evening as I needed them!
There is a long straight that I hit 122MPH before I had to brake. It was a really fun day! A lot of Corvettes, Chargers and Challengers, 1 Lambo, newer Shelby's, newer Camaro's. One guy ran a newer RAM 2500 and was fast as ****! There was one wreck - guy put it into the side rail. He missed his shift and went from 5th to 2nd at 120MPH - don't ask me how - that's what I was told by one of the lead guys.
Here are some pics. The Orange Camaro was behind me and could not keep up. That guy was like "WOW that SUV is fast!" Hopefully the ML made some videos I can post later.
The course - not me driving.

It's pretty cool how you get to know what a car can and cannot do when you can drive it without restrictions. On the straight with the gas pedal on the floor from 90-120+ took a bit longer than I expected.
