2013 New Purchase Questions
Hey Everyone,
After a long weekend of test driving SUVs my wife decided on the ML. Now the hard part. Finding one. Never had an MB before. BMW and Porsche so far.
We've decided on a 2013 550 and I have a handful of questions.
Can anyone send me a link to all available options and prices for a '13? I thought I found a nice PDF MB brochure but I think its Canadian.
Besides options that are standard on the 550, are there any differences between the 350 and the 550? Do you get the sportier grill that is unavailable on the 350?
on/off road package VS. airmatic a la cart option? I see some pictures where there are just a few buttons to select ride and then I see some pictures where there are 3 total knobs on the center console. Is the standalone airmatic the former and the on/off road package the later? A little confusing.
Any options that are must haves? Since I'm going pre owned and not in any hurry, I'm definitely looking for one optioned up.
We are also firm on a '13 CPO as we should be able to squeeze at least one year of factory warranty out of it, if not 1 1/2 years. I think the '14s will be priced a little out of my budget.

Searching the forum for a 2013 DOG will provide you the most complete results, but a couple of quick answers:
1. The 550 has the AMG sport exterior package standard.
2. The AIRMATIC has a toggle button for Sport/Comfort and the Off-Road package has a dial with multiple modes
3. The must have options: Lighting package, Multi-contour seats, AIRMATIC, 20" wheels
4. My must haves: Night vision, Leather, Ventilated seats, Anthracite Poplar trim, Wood/Leather steering wheel

I just bought the 13 ml350, but answering on options.
We decided we needed Distronics for travel. It is a $2900 option, so hard to find. Mobutu the safety and ease of this cruise control, lane, and blind spot package made it a must.
And figured anyone who out this on their car would do lots of other goodies too! Which as looking, they had.
Loving the ambient lighting, lighting package, and sound system.
I have others too, they are cool, but we decided not to buy without Distronics, will never touch cruise control again, this just makes too much sense
