Ml350BTC vs GLE400
I have a leased 350BTC that I really like. It has active curve, Distronic, massaging seats, lighting pkg, parking pkg, and P1. Of course the car can't be replaced in the U.S. I have driven the 3.5 liter engine and because of the lack of torque it is not my cup of tea.
What I am working on is whether to keep this car or replace it with new similarly equipped GLE 400.
When I leased the BTC the residual was north of 60%. It was hit last year but the damage was mostly cosmetic. Point being that its value is quite south of the residual. And Mercedes is offering 5 month push forward on the lease.
The other factor in the diesel was perceived reliability. There has been very few road tests of the 400. I have noted that there seem to be fewer complaints on the forums about the 400 vs. the BTC. Granted this is a small sampling.
I am trying to do a longer term vehicle and can't decide whether I'd rather have the BTC or the 400 in my garage 5 years from now.
I would love to do a CPO but my feature mix doesn't seem to be out there.
