Odd situation today...ML wont go into gear
Got into the ml parked in the garage (warm) and started okay but would not go into gear...any gear...restarted and tried a dozen times...let idle to warm up for 15 mins...still nothing so I tool another vehicle to the office...came home after a couple of hours (holiday here today) and started it and all normal..wtf ?
This has happened once a year or so ago but went into gear after a few re-starts..
Also is there an override to allow movement of the vehicle ? say to roll it out of the garage ?
Maybe the ISM module is going out ? or a low voltage issue?
Any feedback welcome..

Out Of Control!!
sounds like your gear selector switch is failing, however the only sure way to confirm that is to have someone with MB diagnostics read any faults and test the circuit!!

After extensive research and speaking with a certified MB tech if sounds like it's time for a new starter battery...these vehicles have three batteries and with all the added parasitic devices I've added a low battery likely caused the issue..
