auto electronic park brake
I just got off a CLA and GLA loaner car a few weeks ago and I noticed that when you turn off the engine it automatically engage the parking brake for you. Then if you turn on the car then put it in D or R and hit the gas it disengage the parking brake and off you go. On the ML it won't do the auto park brake but will disengage the park brake when you hit the gas while you are at D or R. I kinda like that feature of the GLA/CLA and I am guessing even the newer models has this feature and wants to know if it is just a coding thing that I need to tell my service person on my next visit since the ML has electronic parking brakes.

Hi,
The ML actually does that too, but you have to put it on hold, turn off the engine and open the door. It will put itself on Parking and engage the parking break. Later on, just change to R or D and press the gas to disengage the parking brake.

What MY was the CLA and GLA? Did both happen to have the Mbrace w/ remote start? My '16 GLE engages the parking brake automatically every time the engine is turned off whereas my '12 ML didn't. We guessed it had something to do with being able to remote start the vehicle.
