anyone know how to remove the mirror housing?

I need to remove my mirror housing (the black part that actually has the integrated camera and courtesy light.
anyone have any idea how to do so?

I've had mine off...if I recall you grab the stem and twist it..going by memory here as I've had my ZR1 off also and I don't recall if one or both twist off...

At you referring to the sideview mirror? If so to pull the cover off you need to tilt the mirror all the way down and pull carefully and it will come free from the base. The mirror cover has 1 Torx screw In the lower outside away from the truck that is behind the mirror glass that needs to be removed. Then pull up on the cover and it should come free.
