2014 ML Dimming Mirrors
Hi,
I see on the P01 package on an ML I'm looking to buy that it states Auto-Dimming Driver Side and Rear View Mirrors.
Is it only the driver side mirror that dims, not the passenger side? I find this wording odd...
Please let me know if both side mirrors dim.

The pasenger side mirror has never dimmed on any of my 30+ Euro cars I've owned. Whether it has somethign to do with the fact that the glass is curved and it presents technical challenges to uniform LCD polarization, or - more likely - due to the fact that the mirror is both convex and also much further away from the driver so that even a very bright light source is only going to be a tiny little dot and thus never blind you is irrelevant - the fact is that in 30+ years of driving I've yet to be "blinded" even once by someone in the right-hand lane with their high beams on. So - yes, the passenger side rear-view mirror does not dim, because it simply doesn't need to.
