Xenon light adjustment
Hi folks,
I have the lightning package on a 2013 W166, but my lights are pointing far too high. I get most of the incoming traffic to flash me high beams because they believe I am in high beams. When I start up the car, I can see that the lights are calibrating themselves (moving left/right/up/down) so something is working, but I believe the reference position is off. Does any of you guys have had that issue, and if so, how did you fix it?
Thanks.
Max

If you put the light control to manual on, there should be a 5.5 mm Allen screw on top of the light assembly to adjust it. I believe CW is down. Aim the headlight about 20-30 feet against a wall on a flat surface, count the turns as you adjust and write them down.

Let me know how it work out, I have only adjusted the headlights on my CLS550 and not my wife's ML350, but I am sure the procedure is similar. Some headlights have a vertical and a horizontal adjustment, mark the wall with some painter's tape at the top of the beam before you start, you should see some sort of vertical movement after one full turn or so. If you do not observe any vertical movement, you might be on the wrong screw. Adjust the screw back to where it was and look for other Allen screws. Good Luck.
