12 ML350 Rear Turn Signal Malfunction

Hello all. New to this site and am hoping someone can help me out. I did try searching the archives but could not find related threads.

My left rear turn signal (the clear LED strip) is not working and I'm getting a message on the dash. The signal is blinking very quickly. The front blinker is working fine, but the rear is out.

I see that there isn't simply a bulb that can be replaced, similar to a tail or brake light. Is there a fix for this or does the entire taillight assembly need to be replaced? It's still under the CPO warranty but not sure whether this is covered?

Any help is appreciated!

I have the same issue in my 2012 ML63. Did you ever get a resolution?

I think the only thing you can do is replace the whole housing. The only standard bulb is the brake one and if the signal bulb (LEDs fail) seems like the whole unit has to be taken out. 3 nuts through access panel, one connector and it slides out. Don’t pull as there is a body clip on the car. If it’s the left side, slide right and then pull out.

Full left light removed!
