Mercedes ML350 - W166
Noise from center console...
Hi everybody.
New here, and of course arriving with a question.
The W166 is my first Mercedes, so i am not familiar with the vehicle yet.
A few times every week i get a loud noise from the center console between the front seats. Anybody knows what is inside the back part of the console ?
It sounds like a little compressor against the chassis.
The front seats are with air cooling, does it have anything to do with that..?
Any info is appreciated.

Removing center console is pretty easy (2 bolts upfront, 2 in the compartment). The vehicle is driveable without the console there. You could try to remove it and drive for some time to see if noise still there. That will help you figure out where noise is coming from.
