Lemon law car after 1year
I ended up buying a 2014 ML350 Bluetec with 12K miles for about $41K. The hook on the deal was that it had been a buyback by MBUSA. I pulled the records on it and they never really found a problem. In the end, I could afford the risk and for the price did so. I also didn't really care about resale as it's a car we'll have for a while. Guests use it and so on.
After a year and 12 months it's turned out to be the car I've put more miles on than any car I've owned recently. About 20K in a year. It's become the go to vehicle for our road trips while my wife's CLS550 sits in the garage.
I have had zero issues. None, nada, nix. I like it so much better than the BMW x5 35d it replaced. Just a more comfortable car on the road. I've averaged 23.5MPG over the year. at 70MPH I get 30MPG. At 85MPH I get 24MPG. Love the 600 mile range.
The ML550 was purchased new and was just terrible with niggling problems. I hate the benz dealer so taking it in all the time was a hassle. This one was a lemon and no issues. I guess you just never know.

Boulders mpg matches what I've seen in a 2014 ML350 Bluetec with almost 80k on it (determined by gallons to fill back up into miles traveled, not the display). It's a great interstate cruiser from TX to CA and TX to AB Canada.

The 4cyl in the new e300 sucks too. I ended up buying a year old CLS550 for my wife.
Glad your ML Bluetec is working well for you. They're interstate beasts.
